At 21 weeks we finally chose to get another ultrasound. Though I wanted this baby’s sex to be a surprise, Jason has been on the fence but falling toward the side of knowing…Monday August 9th, he fell off the fence
I made a call to Lance Durci and he got us in that afternoon! Despite my discomforts with the ultrasounds, it was really exciting to see the baby! HE was moving around all over the place (probably trying to run away from the ultrasound) and had some pretty strong kicks that hit directly on the u/s wand. Our little boy appears to be growing right on track and shows no abnormalities and
Noah loved watching his LITTLE BROTHER move all over the screen! Lance did a great job explaining everything to us, gave us a few 3d peaks, answered all our questions with confidence, and sent us off with some great pictures, a DVD and excitement to meet our SON in December.
After a delicious sushi dinner and ice cream with Uncle Matt, Auntie Justine, Auntie Jess and Uncle Dan we made our way home and took our first belly pics! Noah thought it was so funny, and when we were done snapping a few pics, Noah took my spot on the wall and said, “Take Noah’s picture!” After a few cheese ball shots, he lifted up his shirt and wanted us to take pictures of his belly! Sooooo cute! We took some belly pictures together and then had to spend the next 30 minutes diverting Noah from wanting to take more pictures. I ended up giving him my camera, and letting him try to take pictures of Jason and I.
As for pregnancy related stuff, my belly has seemed bigger this whole pregnancy, but last week it really popped out! Luckily we were in Minnesota and making a trip to the MOA and I got to make a pit stop in the maternity store with my mama! Having clothes that fit really do make quite a difference in the way you feel! (more on the Minnesota trip later). Other than feeling more round, I don’t have too many bodily aches and pains. My feet have been swelling up a little bit, but I think it was a combo of the flying, Minnesota heat, and being on my feet a ton last week. The up side…more foot massages from Jason!
The heartburn/indigestion is still a daily annoyance, but not unmanageable. I suppose the other annoying change would have to be that my skin has gotten super pink and more oily than normal…aka, make up looks silly and zits are taking up residence on me! So annoying! A for the super fun
stuff…baby’s kicks are getting stronger and more frequent! He tends to really get going every time I decide to lay down and rest…nap time with Noah and 10 or 11 at night when I want to sleep! I absolutely love feeling him motoring around in there. It’s fun to visualized whats going on, I always assume he is enjoying our late night snack, the music we are listening to, or the sound of Noah’s laughter. Other times, it is just a quiet moment where I get to bond with this little life growing in my belly!
I havn’t scanned the photos yet, but I think the video of the ultrasound should fill in that gap! Enjoy watching our little guy kick and flip and squirm!

I completely understand the pink skin that is oily- having the same problem! Noah looks really tall in those pictures- cracked me up and made me think of what he will look like when he is older- just add some curly red hair on top!=)
